| TI CLOSES ACQUISITION OF POWER TRENDS | |

DALLAS (Nov. 22) – TI today completed its previously announced acquisition of Power Trends in a stock-for-stock transaction. The acquisition strengthens TI’s catalog analog portfolio, in particular TI’s power-management products. Power Trends is a leading supplier in the emerging and fast-growing market for point-of-use power solutions situated next to digital signal processors, microprocessors and other high performance devices on the circuit board. Combining Power Trends' system and design understanding of point-of-use power-solutions with TI's advanced analog silicon technologies enables complete, easy-to-use modular solutions and speeds customers' time-to-market. Plug-in power-supplies are a fast-growing trend in power management, as high-performance integrated circuits become increasingly complex, requiring higher current at lower voltages. TI expects demand for plug-in power products to grow to $1 billion within five years. Power Trends, with its approximately 240 employees will continue to operate from its Warrenville, Ill. headquarters as a wholly owned subsidiary of TI.
